AnnotationContains Middle Dutch translations of books 2, 3 and 8 of the Vitae patrum (Dutch: Vaderboec): 1. Historia monachorum in Aegypto (fol. 1r-63r). 2. Verba seniorum (fol. 64r-102r) ( Incipit: Dit is die voerspraec van dat anderde boec). 3. Historia Lausica / Palladius Helenopolitanus (fol. 104r-146v) (Incipit: Hier beghint dat prologus des bisscop paladius in dat derde boec vander heiligher vaderen leven). Author of the (earlier attributed to Hieronymus van Strido) Historia monachorum in Aegypto would be Timotheus (Aelurus) van Alexandrië (PL 73, kol. 22). First part of the prologue is missing (expl. prologi fol. 1r: Hier endet die voersprake ende prologhe ende hier beghint dat eerste boec van den leven der vaderen). F. 103v: Dit boeck heeft gegeven heer garbrant claessen die onse biechtvader heeft geweest ... The translation of book 2 of the Vitae patrum is called the second Middle Dutch translation.
