Collection of letters, some original, other transcribed by Pieter Burman and others. The original letters were written between 1523 and approximately 1660 by different scholars, among them: Gottfried Jungermann, Isaac Casaubon, Justus Lipsius, Erycius Puteanus. Volume 1 (Hs 7 A 20) fol. 39-42, 67-136, 139, 215 contain a.o. 76 original letters by Erycius Puteanus, to Daniël Heinsius (73), Nicolaas Heinsius and an anonymus addressee, dated 1608-1645. 71 of the letters to Daniel Heinsius were published in: ErycI Pvteani v. cl. ad Constantinvm Hvgenivm, et Danielem Heinsivm, viros nobiliss. epistolæ. / Edente Marco Zverio Boxhornio. - Lvgd. Batav. : ex officina Francisci Hackii, 1647. Volume 2 (Hs 7 A 21) contain a.o. 26 letters by Gottfried Jungermann to Claudius Salmasius, dated 1606-1610.
