AnnotationFirst title on t.p. in Greek characters; text entirely in Greek. Third edition of the Greek Bible, edited by J. Lonicerus; the O.T. follows the Aldine Bible of 1518. The New Testament first appeared in 1524; it was re-issued in 1526 to form v. 4 of this complete Bible, but the date on the t.p. was never changed from 1524 to 1526. Cuts: t.p. of each v. has ornamental border; initials, headpieces. Printer's device on last page at end with mottos: Omnium longe fortissima veritas. Ho Christos esti lithos exouthenēmenos.
