AnnotationAuthor is Philippus Melanchthon. Printer's name taken from colophon. Colophon: Gedruckt zu Wittemberg durch Hans Lufft. M. D. XXXVIII. Signatures: A-M⁴. Title within decorated woodcut border (letterpress). "Vorrede" by Martin Luther. The final revised form of the "Instruction" originally prepared by Melanchton under the authority of the Elector, John of Saxony, in 1527, and first printed, with preface by Luther, in 1528.
