Date from the second uncolored title page filled in by hand, which reads: "Logica Minor exposita A doc.: dom: bernardo Mullet art: doc: phi[losophi]ae professore: obtinuit ioannes nicolaus peerbooms antverpiensis. duaci in Collegio Regio anno 1708 (1709?)".
Lecture notes written by Johannes Nicolaas Peerbooms (-1754).
With, at top and bottom shortened, handcolored tilte page "Palatium sapientiae".
Field on title page filled in by hand: "Philosophia dictata ab erud. domino Anthonio Lengrand S.T.L. artium doctore philosophiae professore primario, atque insignis ecclesiae collegiatae S. Amati canonico, recepta vero Ioanni Nicolao Peerbooms Antverpiensi. Duaci in Collegio Regio".
With 17 portraits of (among others) René Descartes, Logic, Aristotle, Lactantius and Empedocles; partially colored by the scribe J. N. Peerebooms.
With 6 plates showing (among others) the "tree of Descartes" and the "tree of Porphyry"; partially colored by the scribe J. N. Peerebooms. With the exception of one, all plates are bigger then the book itself and therefore folded.
Douai fell under the Spanish Netherlands that were ruled by the Spanish branch of the Habsburgs from 1556 to 1714.
Leaves 31v and 32r are filled with scribbles and drawings.
Leaf 153v contains a list of 100 names of fellow students ("Nomina consodalium Philosophorum").
Leaves 118, 119 and 154 are blank.
Contemporary foliation in ink partially visible, modern foliation applied January 2008.
Inscription on front flyleaf: "Superiorum permissum Ad Usum Simplicem d. Petri van Hove Fransiscani Recoll. indigni".
