| Annotation | Author is Philippus Melanchthon. Printer's name taken from colophon, which reads: Gedruckt zu Wittemberg durch Hans Lufft. M. D. XXXVIII. "Vorrede" by Martin Luther. Signatures: A-M⁴. With initials. Title within decorated woodcut border (letterpress). The final revised form of the "Instruction" originally prepared by Melanchton under the authority of the Elector, John of Saxony, in 1527, and first printed, with preface by Luther, in 1528.
