On the last unnumbered preliminary page, the signature of "Franciscus Xauierius" is followed by a woodcut tail-piece, and the numbered sequence begins on the following page. In the issue described by Streit, a further letter by Xavier, dated 1549 and without pagination, begins immediately following Xavier's signature, and continues for 28 pages, so that there are sixty unnumbered preliminary pages in total.
