Translation of: Histoire d'un voyage fait en la terre du Bresil. The Latin version is, according to Sabin, more valuable than the original, as it contains passages that were suppressed in the French. Preface includes a letter written by Villegagnon to Jean Calvin. Chapter 20 is a dialogue in Tupi and Latin. Contains 8 woodcut illustrations, including a folded plate inserted after page 178, representing battle of Tououpinambaults with the Margaiats. Contains a prefatory poem by I. I. B. [Joannes Jacomotus Barrensis], and a prefatory poem in Greek by Is. Cas [Isaac Casaubon].
