Dating according to 'Incunabula in Dutch libraries': 10 April 1497 or later. According to Dr. J.C. Bedaux, staff member of the Atheneum in Deventer who has written a thesis on Hegius, the book must be dated as "not before December 27, 1498". On the title page printed "...olim rectore", which means "former rector". Hegius, who remained rector until the end of his life, was buried on 27 Dec. 1498. Dating is also based on the woodcuts, according to Kok. Woodcut on title page has "IHS" and emblems of the four evangelists.
