Annotatie | Description mainly based on MMDC (Medieval Manuscript in Dutch Collections). Dating: between approximately 1370 and 1390. Material: parchment. Contains a Dominican calendar, with feast days for St. Dominicus, Peter of Verona and Thomas Aquinas. Contains also a mass for deliverance from the plague, instituted by pope Clemens VI. Inserted leaf with the maxim "fortis ut mors dilectio", a crude coat of arms and the year 1552. On the last leaf (former paste down on the pasted side) a bawdy verse on "heer dircks zoen" and a dog. Layout and script: 1 column, approximately 23-24 lines, Gothic littera textualis. Unfoliated. Binding: medieval binding, contemporary; blind tooled binding, clasps. Illustration and decoration: at the section on Advent a decorated initial with gilded border decoration. One or two folia missing at the beginning of the eucharistic prayers, probably with the canon plate and decorated initial. Region of origin: unknown, but probably Low Countries or Germany.
