AnnotationSignatures: A-Z⁸, Aa-Ii⁸, Kk¹°, A⁸; A8 is blank. Printed marginalia and initials. With slogan on title page: "Belgivm libertate parta, reviviscit." The dedication is signed Theophile D.L. [possibly Carl Ryckewaert, author or translator]. The author of the original German edition is A. Henricpetri, a possible pseudonym of Philips van Marnix van St. Aldegonde. The French edition has also been attributed to J.F. Le Petit. French translation of "Chronyc: historie der Nederlantscher oorlogen ..." which is in itself a translation and modification of Adam Henricpetri's "Niderlandischer ersten Kriegen Empörungen ..." by "Theophilus idiota", possibly Charles Ryckewaert.
