AnnotationPrinter's device on title page. Printer's name from colophon, which reads: Getruckt zu Straßburg durch Balthassar Beck. Vnd volendt am dreissigsten tag Januarij des Tausent fünffhundert zwey vnnd dreissigsten Jars. German translation of "Hegesippi qui dicitur historiae libri V" a freely adapted translation of Josephus's "De bello Judaico" previously attributed to the so-called "Hegesippus" (or "Egesippus") a name probably derived from a corruption of Iosippus the spelling of Josephus in many of the manuscripts. Sometimes the work is also ascribed to Ambrose of Milan. Signatures: ⁶ A⁸ B-Z⁶ a⁶; a6 is blank. Initials; printed marginal notes.
