PSALM XLVI (47), f. 27r.
The psalmist, beside whom are two groups of people who sing, play, and clap their hands (verse 7, (6)) and who is looking upwards (verse 3, (2)), stands upon a rock within a walled enclosure. In the heavens, the beardless, cross-nimbed Christ-Logos is seated within a globe-mandorla supported by four angels (the two lower ones blowing trumpets) and is adored by six other angels (verse 6, (5)). Outside the enclosure two groups of the 'people' who are 'subdued' and 'under our feet' (verses 2, (1) and 4, (3)) are kneeling near the gate. Two other groups of people led by kings are carrying palms (verse 10, (9); 'the princes of the people are gathered together').
