PSALM LIX (60), f. 34r.
The bearded Christ-Logos without a nimbus and holding a pair of shoes in His left hand is seated on a globe resting on a mountainside in the midst of eight angels (verse 10, (8): 'Over Edom will I cast out my shoe'). Beneath Him the defenders of 'the strong city' of Edom are warding off attacking soldiers (verse 11, (9)). To the right of the city the psalmist and four companions have been cast off (verse 3, (1) and 12, (10)). To the left of the city four soldiers are 'treading down' the enemy (verse 14, (12)). To the right an angel is measuring 'the vale of tabernacles' (verse 8, (6)).
