PSALM LX (61), f. 34v, the upper picture.
In the lower foreground of the picture the psalmist is standing upon a 'rock' (verse 3, (2)) before a cross-surmounted tent, 'thy tabernacle' (verse 5, (4)), and raises his hands to an angel (verses 2-3, (1-2)), elevated on a 'strong tower' (verse 4, (3)) with wings outspread (verse 5, (4): 'in the covert of thy wings'). The angel extends a scarf or cloak towards the psalmist as an additional attribute of the 'covert.' This scene takes place between a representation of the sea and trees, 'the end of the earth' (verse 3, (2)). To the left above, a 'king' and his bodyguard are placed outside a gabled and colonnaded building. The king on one knee is supplicating the beardless and cross-nimbed Christ-Logos who is extending a wreath towards him. There are stars in the heavens (verse 7, (6)).
