Annotatie Printer's name from colophon, which reads: Basileae excudebat Ioannes Heruagius, Anno Domini 1550. On title page verso two epigrammata and a poem in Hebrew. In the second epigramma, printed in acrostic in by a Moses Aharon the Jewish, the initial letters of the first seven lines feature the name Galatinus, and in the next seven lines the two names of Gerson and Moses, where Gerson is clearly the Hebrew name of the printer (Gershom Soncino) of the first edition published in 1518. This is followed by a poem, again in acrostic, from an Ishac Hispani Hebraei medici physici, in which the initial letter of the lines form the sentence that translates to "my name is Galatinus". Johann Reuchlin's book, "De arte Cabalistica", has half-title (page 719): Ioannis Reuchlin Phorcensis Legum Doctoris, De arte Cabalistica libri tres, Leoni X. dicati. Printer's device on title page, on verso of leaf uu6, and on last page at end. Signatures: AA-BB⁶ a-z⁶ A-Z⁶ aa-xx⁶ yy⁴ zz⁶. With woodcut initials (historiated and decorated), a head-piece and printed marginalia. Contains two woodcut illustrations on page 886.
