Annotatie	Translation begun by Melchior Leydekker (Genesis through Ephesians chapter 6) and completed by Pieter van der Vorm. Revised by Arnoldus Brants, Engelbertus Cornelius Ninaber, George Henrik Werndly, and Pieter van der Vorm, assisted by native Malay scholars. Printed in Amsterdam by R. and G. Wetstein, under the superintendence of G. H. Werndly, assisted by Carolus Georgius Serruus, and two Malay chaplains. Both volumes have additional engraved with title framed by an architectural niche with a drapery showing the title in the Malay language. On the tympan an open bible. At the bottom a cartouche in which a ship of the VOC, crowned with a coat of arms of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. Both of these engraved title pages are signed "B. Picart del. et sculp. 1731." In 1735 appeared at Amsterdam a quarto edition of the Psalms and Canticles translated by G.H. Werndly in metre, with musical notation. To this was joined a Malay translation of the Heidelberg Catechism. These two pieces (or the second alone) are often found appended to copies of this publication. Text in Roman characters.
