As witnessed by the coats of arms on f. 13r, the manuscript was made for a member of the Van Lantscroon and Van Raephorst family, Utrecht. In the 17th and18th century the ms. was owned by the Hanibals family. The ms. is called the 'Cunliffe Book of Hours' after its 19th-century owner H. Cunliffe. A.W.
